All vehicle rentals are governed by a comprehensive Rental Agreement, which you will receive upon booking confirmation or when collecting your vehicle. This agreement outlines important terms, conditions, insurance information, applicable charges, and your responsibilities related to the rental. In case of any discrepancies between these Terms and the Rental Agreement, the Rental Agreement will prevail.
Eligibility Criteria
Renting a vehicle requires:

A valid driving licence, appropriate for the vehicle category, is required, along with identification and proof of your current address. 3. Reservations and Payments
- Reservations can be made via our website, over the phone, or directly at our Hucknall location. A deposit may be necessary to confirm your booking. The full payment and security deposit are usually required at the time of vehicle pickup. All prices are listed in British Pounds (£) and include VAT where applicable. We accept major credit and debit cards, with secure processing handled by trusted payment providers.
Vehicle Pick-Up and Drop-Off
- Upon collecting your vehicle, you are required to conduct a thorough inspection and report any pre-existing damage right away. A vehicle condition report will be generated and must be signed by both parties. When returning the vehicle, it should be in the same condition as when it was collected, allowing only for normal wear and tear. Any new damage will be evaluated and charged as necessary. Insurance and Liability Terms

Additional insurance options may be offered to limit your financial liability, and we suggest reviewing these thoroughly. You will be accountable for any damage or loss up to the excess amount unless additional insurance is purchased. Damage resulting from negligence, misuse, or violation of these terms remains your responsibility, regardless of insurance coverage.
6. Modifications and Cancellations
Cancellation and amendment policies differ based on the type of booking and the notice given. For precise details, please consult your booking confirmation or Rental Agreement. Be aware that late cancellations or no-shows may incur additional charges.
7. Restricted Activities
Prohibited Uses of Rental Vehicle
- Use of the vehicle for illegal activities is prohibited. This includes racing, rallying, off-roading, or engaging in any dangerous driving practices. The transport of hazardous materials is not allowed. Sub-letting the vehicle or permitting unauthorized drivers is forbidden. Driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs is strictly prohibited. Additionally, the vehicle must not be used for purposes beyond its intended design, and all passenger and weight limits must be respected. Travel outside of agreed geographical areas requires prior authorization.
Breach of these terms may lead to rental termination and extra fees.
8. Liability Limits
To the fullest extent allowed under English and Welsh law, Car Hire Hucknall will not be responsible for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, including loss of profits, data, or business, resulting from your use of our services. Our total liability for any claims is limited to the amount you paid for the rental in the last 12 months. This limitation does not apply to liability for death or personal injury due to negligence, or for fraud.
9. Local Legislation
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Disputes will be resolved exclusively in the courts of England and Wales.
10. Amendments to Terms
We reserve the right to update these Terms at any time. Changes take effect immediately upon their publication on our website. Continued use of our services indicates acceptance of the revised Terms.
